Exodus 17,1-2 - The entire Israeli community then by word of the LORD pulled out of the wilderness of Sin on the next trip. However, when camped in Rephidim, there was not water, so people could drink. Thus began the cannot of Moses: "Give us water, no matter what we drink!"
Exodus 17,5-6 - The LORD said to Moses: "Go out to the people and take with thee of the elders of Israel. Bring your rod, which you struck the Nile, and go. Behold, I will stand before thee there on the rock at Horeb. Hit a rock and water comes out of it, so people have something to drink. "And Moses the sight of Israeli elders did.
The Bible tells us that before the people of Israel came to Mount Sinai, and encamped at a place called Refidim. The biggest testimony that the Bible said the site is immense ambivalent Refidim boulder on the hill. This stone still ambivalent suggesting that once flowed from it large quantities of water. Rocks are still showing erosion, which had a huge amount of water, barking out the stone. Nevertheless, it is a dry place in an abandoned desert, is clearly demonstrable erosion. We see a large trough carved by water flow leading from the riven stone from the wide cracks in the rock. Looking further down the channel leading to the plane, where the people of Israel camped.
Refidim - Fighting the Amalekites
Exodus 17,8-9 - Then came Amalek and fought with Israel in Rephidim. Moses then said to Joshua, "Choose a man and pull them into battle against Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand on top of the hill, and I have a stick in the hand of God. "There is enough space on it to get here play a big battle.
As Moses wrote, this place is enough space to be here to play a big battle. From the top of the hill, Moses had a good overview of what's happening on the battlefield.
Exodus 17,15-16 - Then Moses built an altar and called it "The Lord is my banner." He said, "The hand of the throne of the LORD, the Lord witnessed the fight against Amalek until the last race."
After the battle, where Moses smote the Amalekites with God's help, he built an altar in honor of the Lord. At this site near split rock is a stone altar, which has survived until today. In part it is either destroyed by an earthquake, or it Bedouins seeking hidden treasure. Inside this building is hollow, but filled with stones thoroughly. They are clear evidence that this is the altar. You can find here also some of circular homes of Israel, the remains of stone dwellings.
These findings suggest to us the stories that happened as the Bible describes. They prove that the Bible is a book of myths. They prove that the Bible has been, and will live a book inspired by our God, our Creator.
