Read the Ten Commandments of God, as God gave them to Moses on Mount Sinai. Here is the right order and wording of the Ten Commandments.

No one is allowed to make any change in the law, no person, nor religious authority, nor tradition. Who shall we obey? God, our Creator, or men, the tradition?

Exodus 20:1-17

And God spake all these words, saying,

1st “I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

2nd Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

3rd Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

4th Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

5th Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

6th Thou shalt not kill.

7th Thou shalt not commit adultery.

8th Thou shalt not steal..

9th Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

10th Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's."

Already Daniel, in the Old Testament, saw that there will be a power that will try to change the law. The only commandment dealing with time is the fourth commandment - Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

Daniel 7:23-25 Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws:  (New International Version: Will try to change times and laws.)

What did Jesus say about the law and its validity? Will it persist and for how long?

Matthew 5:17-19 - "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”

How important is God's law?

Luke 16:17 - And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.

Does faith in Jesus and His grace abolish the law?

Romans 3:31 - Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

What did apostle Paul write about the law?

Romans 7:12 - Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.

How do we know that we love God and our neighbors?

1 John 5:2-3 - This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands. This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome,

Jesus presented all commandments as commandments of love, just as Joshua did in the Old Testament.

Matthew 22:37-40 - Jesus replied: 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbour as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.

Joshua 22:5 - But be very careful to keep the commandment and the law that Moses the servant of the LORD gave you: to love the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, to obey his commands, to hold fast to him and to serve him with all your heart and all your soul..

For how long have been given God's rules and why?

Psalm 111:7-8 - The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure. They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness.

What is the sign God gave to His people?

Exodus 31:13 - Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you.

Are God's commandments going to be a sign also in the last days?

Revelation 12:17 - And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Is the God's ark of the covenant with His unchangeable Ten Commandments also in heaven?

Revelation 11:18-19 - And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth. And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.

What is important, according to the prophet Malachi, in relation to the last day of the LORD, burning like a furnace?

Malachi 3:22 - Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.

Jesus pronounced a prophecy that find its fulfillment in 70 AD, i.e. 40 years after His ascension, yet Jesus called for obedience to the law!

Matthew 24:20 - But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:

And what about the first disciples? Did they obey the law and keep sabbath also after the ascension of Jesus Christ?

Acts 13:14-44 - …went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down....... that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath......... And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God.

Hebrews 4:1,9-10 - …promise being left us of entering into his rest, ...... There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

God's law has always been there, it is and always will be there. It is the unchangeable essence of God's government of love!
